The timed missions can sometimes pop up right one after the other, additionally they often cause you to backtrack. Some factions require certain missions to be completed before the end faction mission can be given. Some faction missions require a certain reputation with your your faction in order to become obtainable. Additionally some missions on hubs will only be obtainable by people of the matching faction. This is true for all missions from your communication screen aside of the bounty missions and the cargo inspection. Some missions will be only obtainable if you are part of a the faction that issues them. This is also the case for the faction main quest lines. ![]() If a quest line mission is failed, the following quests will not be obtainable for the players. Some missions are part of a quest line while others are not connected to other missions. Quest line missions VS stand-alone missions They are orders from your faction and if you reject them, you will lose reputation with your faction. faction or CU faction most missions you receive from your ship's communication screen will be obligatory. Obligatory missions VS optional missions: All missions you can acquire from hubs, planets or stations are not timed. They have to be completed within 2, 5 or 10 warp jumps in order not to fail. Most of the missions you will acquire from your communication screen are timed missions. Time sensitive missions VS not time sensitive missions Those NPCs can be identified by the exclamation mark above their head. Some missions will pop up on a screen on your ship's bridge while others will require you to teleport down to locations and talk to NPCs.
